Ashamed of what my carelessness brought
With just one reckless flicker of my hand.
An apology from words and rhyme wrought;
With the desire to make you understand
That I only wished to bid you farewell;
What happened was something I did not mean.
This, however, does not make all things well
And thus I pray that my regret be seen.
I hope that I am able to amend
The mistake that I so stupidly made
And that this event from memory fade.
Dear kindred spirit, my poetic friend,
My message is something I can’t hurry;
I want to show how I’m deeply sorry.
